Dressed up in blue and white, the traditional Greek colors, the Greek Kitchen upholds its culinary tradition proudly. The bright and buoyant space has light coming from both sides of its corner location and is far enough from the theater district to avoid the evening insanity. For a hot appetizer, go straight to the pan-fried codfish with potato/garlic dip—the hunks of cod are substantial and not at all greasy. Four of the cold appetizers can be ordered with the Pikilia platter, and they're wonderfully fresh, including the grape leaves swimming in olive oil. The lamb kebab is reliable, and if you'd like to sample several meats, there's another Pikilia covering them. But the best way to enjoy the Greek Kitchen is to order fish of the day, whole or filleted, and there's usually a good set of choices: salmon, striped bass, snapper, etc.
