Then the Italian restaurants of Manhattan are full, take the 14th Street L train three stops into Brooklyn to this beautiful Italian restaurant. At lunchtime skylight will bathe you in sunlight. Even during weekend brunch it's easy to get a table. Start with the Guazzetto di Frutti de Mare, with scallops, shrimp, mussels, and clams. Use the bread (and a soup spoon) to soak up every last drop of the incredibly tasty tomato broth. Then move onto the pasta dishes. We had Ravioli con Ricotta Spinaci—ravioli with spinach and ricotta cheese in a heartier chunk tomato sauce—and were surprised by the sizes of both the portion and the jumbo raviolis themselves. Tuesday night is Pasta Night with relaxed prices. As our neighborhood source said: "If it were in Manhattan, it would be mobbed every night."
