Here thrives a diversity that's healthy in more ways than one. Yellow split pea sweet cakes enclose the peas in white cubes of coconut-flavored gelatin. Sesame paste buns are marshmallowy white objects with a sweet nutty core. Red bean cakes come in dramatic transparent wrappers. Crispy banana rolls, and napa rolls with golden mushroom, are fried but not heavy. House-special corn congee soup is thickened with rice. And the rice flour rolls (we had them with white fungus and golden mushrooms) are big but not too hard to pick up with chopsticks. Milk shakes are rich in fruit flavor—try the pale green melon version. You'll leave feeling healthily nourished.
